If he dosen't want it, I'll buy it ... Tell him not to be worried about us. We would never try to buy it out from under him knowing that he was looking at it. Our questions are genuine..But if he desided that he was to pass it up well......

Sounds like a mystery to have an FE engine in a 67, but I guess anything is possible at Ford assembly plants. I guess it is possible that the 390 became available in the latter part of 67, so was thrown into this vert. It would be nice to know when the vert was assembled.

67s did have a 390, I'm just saying the 390 in 67 DID NOT have they Y with a 2v. If it was a 67 vin it should have an S with a 4v.

Look I'm not callin anyone a liar or anything. I'm just trying to help here and find out why there is a Y code. It's strange that you found only one place that lists Y code for a 67. EVERYWHERE I looked except the page you listed says Y IS NOT a 67 code. I've been wrong before but I gotta stick to my guns here, and hell stranger things have happened.

This is a 2v 390, right? If so, and nothing has been changed, it is a Y code 390. What is so hard to understand about that?

okay am I missing something. The car is a 67. 67 390s had S, 68 390s had Y correct. So if the vin has a Y shouldn't it be a 68?
