HOW THE HELL DO I DO THIS??

RE: HOW THE HELL DO I DO THIS??
Point of interest with the engine stands..
The round part of the stand should be nearly in line with the camshaft since the cam is roughly center mass. The way the 5.0 in the pic is situated can cause it to flip over suddenly if the lock bolt is released and also will be difficult to handle when you try to turn it over.
The heads and intake are heavier than you think. Put yours on better.. no offense to those who have done it this way. I still have the scar where an engine on a stand bit me when it was set up like that one.. So save some blood if you like..

Good pic of where to hook it up James. What engine is that? Looks like maybe a mid 90's EFI.
So, Todd, you say this is NOT the way to put an engine on a stand? Can you post a picture of the correct way?

It was top heavy this way. But I had no intention of rotating it so I didn't worry about it.
And yes..it was the donor motor out of a '91 GT I used in my 65.
