RE: 390 hi-po what would you do?
Thanks for the info guys. It looks like the car is all but sittin in my garage now...spoke with the owner and hes ready to deal...I cant wait.
Since we have to bore it anyway would you guys go with a 406 or go all the way with a 428? We want to go MPFI, and most likely keep it N/A. I think it would be better to turn it into a complete roller motor, but it seems so far that roller parts are hard to find for this motor.
I will have the casting numbers from the block soon, is there a way to tell what configuration this engine was in to get the stock hp numbers. That wont really matter, but Id like to know.

Talk to the guy's on the FE forum for over-bore advice. IIRC, it's not advisable to take it to 428 size. You can go to 410 real easy by stroking it with a 428 crank. Here is some more good stuff: http://www.woodyg.com/fairlane/finfo/fecidcombo.html

honestly i would jsut put a cam in it with a bigger intake try and find some trips, even though they never run right they add some hp and look real friggin cool, and be done with it.
