RE: What do you guys think about this one?
theres no way i'd buy an engine sight unseen especially not without references from other customers, preferably people i know!!!!
he's only had one buyer feedback. it was negative and it was this month
theres no "buy now" price either
looks like a back yarder to me...

a better deal would be to pick up a 96-97 explorer motor for 500$ add a cam something like ford motorsports "e" cam get the correct harmonic balancer/flywheel and add your old timing cover, oil pan etc add have 300 hp add it will be a factory assembled 5.0(302) minus the cam u install
the 96-97 5.0 explorer motor features gt40 heads( read cobra mustang)

well its a great bang for the buck mod i mean u can pick up the exploder motor for around 400$ then sell the intake and throttle body off the top of it and get about 100+ back so ull be into it for 300$ add a cam 150$ get the swap balancer what 60$ ? and a swap flywheel 60$ ? and a 40$ gasket set so for about 700$ u can have 300+hp

feedback is to low meaning hes riped people off theres no dyno sheet proving its power or a build sheet looks like a junkyard engine with new paint and some chrome rmodel is right if you want a cheap relieable 302 do that

Its a 5.0 in the pic, and its probably not a pic of the engine he is selling. if it is just like that one, it wont go in our classics without at least a new pan. unless it doesnt have a pan and oil pummp when you get it.. FWIW over at NAPA they have long block 302s selling for around $1200, and 351W for a little more. Stock rebuild, nothing special. That is what this sounds like, and what his idea of ported is may not be what porting actually is.
I would rather have it machined locally and do all the leg work for my engines, that way I know exactly what is in them. It will cost more than the exploder engine though. If I could find one of them exploder engines it would already be in my truck.. 302 is too small for a car of mine.. lol..
