surface prep ?

RE: surface prep ?
Check with your local autobody supply store. The proper degreaser surface prep is not that expensive, and gives you the best chance of not having your paint flake off or get pinholes /fisheyes or other flaws in it.
Most solvents leave a residue of some kind. Don't take a chance

RE: surface prep ?
yeah u could but its not correct prep procedure! and it stinks and wax and grease remover has a specific purpose to remove wax and grease plus its cheap, u wipe on with one lint free rag rag and dry with another.
or you can put it into a spray bottle(i have one at work that u slightly pump up to add pressure to not the squeeze kind) and mist the surface then just dry with a rag this is the now recommended way to apply the solvent(with the cold temps where are in u need to make sure the solvent has fully evaporated b4 putting any paint over top of it)u can blow it with compressed air to speed things
