Default Bench seat

My new 66 mustang has a bench seat - I know they're pretty rare, but how rare are they? Think it's worth it to keep it? I have had a truck all my life, and I'm pretty sick of benches, but if it's one of these 'needle in the haystack' sorta things, I might keep it.

21,397 hardtops with a bench seat in '66 (65C)and 3190 vert's came with a bench seat (76C). It is an interesting option since the Mustang was designed to have buckets and there are few benchseat cars. I would keep the bench seat, but thats me.

Keep the bench. It's an awesome conversation topic at shows. If you really want buckets then keep the original bench somewhere like said above and put some buckets in. That way if you ever sell it you can at least get that extra value.

I have a friend who has a white '66 with a bench. It's a restomad and he still kept the bench seat. I would to. But it's your call, as long as you can make things original again, you have the option.

It’s hard to have your best girl tucked under your arm as you course the strip in your awesome Stang if you have bucket seat. Unless she likes sitting on the transmission/drive shaft tunnel, keep the bench![8D]
