I personally think that fuel and watertemp gauge is more like a full-empty and hot-cold reading.
In a Mustang 65 clearly not something where you look at the gauge and say 17.5 litres left and watertemp is 92.3'C
In a Mustang I don't care as long as it's not too empty and too hot.

So for that I'd rather get the most easy to fit and best looking gauges instead of making up my mind which would be more accurate.

Any other opinions on this ?

Well, your fuel gauge must be electrical, so that takes care of that one.

I'm running a "mechanical" water temp gauge and love it. I would suggest that.

All mine are electrical, water temp, oil press, fuel press, and trans temp. I like the fact that you don't have any lnes running inside the car and makes for a cleaner install..
