Default Race shock tower bracing...

I saw this on ebay and ive never heard of them before. I tore my front suspension out and this area is weak from where water sat on it, so i think something like this would be good. Anyone have any experience with this?

Also, yall should read the first link he has in that auction. It has a bunch of suspension and handling pointers and interesting stuff...

Yes, mine shock towers are solid except in this area, so this might be a good idea for me. Since the metal kind of forms a cup right there, water must have did its toll. Theres still enough to weld with, but my car is solid as a rock and im not used to rust lol. I was thinking about cutting a rectangle to fit in that "cup" and then forming these braces and sit that on top...

They weld in between the front frame rail and shock tower under the upper control arm. They stiffen up the shock tower some which is good for very hard corneing.

I know the Shelby GT500KR has a plate to reinforce this area, may be on the other R codes also. TA cars were welded up also. What kind of tower brace do you have now?

Right now I have an export brace, monte carlo bar, and 1" sway bar that need installed so those towers shouldnt be going anywhere lol. I just figured while I have everything out, it would be a good idea to work on it. Ill get some pics up tonight perhaps but I want to get rid of that rust trap so this would help too.
