prep for welding?
Hey folks
This weekend I cut out my floor-pans to replace them (it looked like swiss cheese [:'(]) everything went great, no problems. Now all I have to do is weld the new pans in. my question is, is there something I should do to prep the metal before getting it welded in. I have cleaned all the coating and rust off the metal. I’ve herd that theres some sort of primer your suppose to apply before I start welding if so what is it called?
Thanks for the help

RE: prep for welding?
You can use a weld through primer if you wish, but it's really not necessary. After you get it welded, then hit it with POR 15 then seam seal, primer, and color. That will last you the rest of your life if you have stopped the leaking from the cowl.
