RE: steering/suspension swap
Yeah I can weld ,I already have the shock towers and engine suspension brackets removed, I was hoping to get some pics. or maybe dimentions on how to notch the frame rail for best results. This is my first attempt at this so I want to get as much info. that I can b4 I start welding.
Thanks for the reply.

Locate a copy of "Mustang Performance Handbook 2" (William Mathis). I think there is some dimensional information you can use.
A call to the various builders of aftermarket Fox-body K-members ought to get you some help. Just pick ones that have given some thought toward road-racing if this car is intended to goanywhere but straight down the strip and up on the trailer, as strip-only front end parts as a category tend to be built with lightness in mind and little regard for any sort of cornering loads.
Then spend quite a bit of time poring over all the suspension geometry information that you can find. It'sa major change to swap from SLA with rear-steer to a strut with front steer. Bumpsteer and Ackermann will be different, which will make initial turn-in feel different. Not necessarily bad, just different. You may end up having to play games with springs and sta-barsso that the two ends play nice together.
Theoretically, a strut suspension leaves a bit to be desired in several respects. But a car with a cleverly tuned strut suspension will outperform one with a so-so SLA suspension (the letters B, M, and W come to mind). Emphasis on the words "cleverly tuned".
I know that sort of thing has been done - one example a few years ago used Toyota Supra underpinnings front and rear. Googling "Suprang" might find it.
Then again, I know of at least one effort aimed at upgrading the uppers and their attachment . . . and it may not involve any cutting of original metal other than whatever might require repair/replacement.
