Where to find an engine lift in az?
Well she died on me again. Luckily my aunt brought her boyfriend down from oregon and he knows a thing or two and will help. Found out my intake doesn't match my block. Meaning I have over hangs and weird angles and not even sure if it seals. Anyway we figure it'd be best to pull the engine and take it apart and see whats going on for sure. So anyone know where to get a lift...? might need a stand but it's all going to be done in a garage. Any help would be great.

RE: Where to find an engine lift in az?
I recently bought a Buffalo Tools engine hoist. It was $150 out the door. The finish was nice and it functioned well. Negatives are that it did not come with instructions and fit didnt seem to be the best. It seemed typical of a $150 lift. If you ever think that you will need a lift again then buy one, its worth the money just not having to cart the thing around again. If it is a one time deal try to find a place that rents one. Engine stands are cheap and are well worth the money. I got a 750lbs stand from Advance Auto Parts for like $40. If all else fails buy everything then sell it when you are done. Just abouteveryauto parts store sells engine hoists. The HarborFreighthoistswould be fine. Make sure you get a hoist with enough reach, however. The cheaper hoists have shorter booms on them. I know that one of theHarbor Freight hoists has a longer boom. I almost had totake the bumper off on my car so I could reach the center of the lift plate but ended up just reaching.
