Default Fuel Injection for Classic Mustangs

I've read a little about people interested in doing a fuel injection conversion on their classic Mustang, has anyone done this? What are the pros and cons? Are there companies that make complete bolt in kits for our cars? Can it really make our classic Mustangs more reliable?

some have done it to their stangs, normally the outcome is alot of time and money invested, not much of a MPG gain, cold start a little easier, PITA to wire it up and put the in the computer

but its your call, im sticking witha carb

I recently purchased a crate 5.0 EFI engine. I came with everything from the plenum to the oil pan. I bought it at a steal but the trade-off is the guy knows nothing about the motor. Below is a picture. Do you think any ford EFI computer/harness for another 5.0 EFI will work? Or is there something specific I need to know about this motor?

I would mount the computer in the trunk for an EFI system. Does anyone know if that is a problem?

The closer to the injectors the better. They use a saturated 12Vdc for the factory injectors so the current supplied to them are limited....sorry, You'll have a but load of wires to deal with so the closer the better.
