Pacific Soda Blasting is located in the 'Gold Country' of California and based on the greenie nut cases we're faced with daily, I'm surprised that they are allowed to do business. Remember, my (green) 'Governorator' can beat yours.

That 300 ace unit is a toy. I am not here to advertise any business, but i recently purchased professional equipment. I am almost at 24k for the total setup with the compressor.
Soda is water soluble media. It needs clean, cool, dry air in order to blast. If not, it clumps up at the nozzle. My setup includes an airdryer.
Id pay the800-1000 to a pro to strip.

I contacted Ace about their $249 soda blaster. They said that model works great for small parts, but using it to blast your car would be "like trying to remove it with an eraser on a pencil". In other words, forget it. You'll need their bigger, $1800 unit for stripping a car.

If your going to buy a machine to do it yourself I recommend looking for a blaster that does the plastic beads. Ive spoken to my uncle about my plans for my car (he owns and runs 2 different shops), and he says soda blasting is ok to do but the beads would be better. And there was the guy who gave me the high price tag for paint jobs and he said the beads or getitng the car dipped.
