GT Fog Light Kits
I am looking to install foglights on my 65FB and was looking at some of the GT kits up on ebay. What are the main differences between the kits from Laurel Mountain, Mustang Project, and the one from Mustangs Unlimited?
Laurel Mountain $250
Mustang Project $300
Mustangs Unlimited $300
Thanks in advance...

RE: GT Fog Light Kits
I don't know about the light bars, but maybe there are differences in the grille? I bought a repop grille from NPD a few weeks ago and the quality is dog poop compared to the stock unit. Unless there are better repos out there, I think I'lll try to rehab the stocker.
Jim, why run the '66 wiring? Am I wrong to assume that the kit comes with an aftermarket 'home run' wiring for the fog lights straight from the switch?

RE: GT Fog Light Kits
Fog lights were a factory option in 1965 preceeding the GT option. Ford incorporated the wiring for the fog lamps in the under hood and under dash harnesses. That wiring was not in any other harnesses. In 66, the fog light feed was in all under dash harnesses and the fog light wiring was run seperate. As a result, to add fog lamps to a 66, you installed the circuit breaker to the brake support, hooked up the feed (after the rest, no shorts while installing), punched a hole near the master cylinder, ran the under dash wire thru the hole, ran the the ubder hood wire to the lights, installed the ground and hooked up the lights. For a new65 installation, you do all the same but have to add a hot lead from the back of the ignition switch to the in terminal of the circuit breaker. It's a three beer job.
