Default 9" swap help questions...

Hey ok so I finally got all my 9" parts and I'm trying to put them together. My question is if I need the bearing, retainer, and seal for the axles to go into the housing or if this is them already on them??? I can't tell. And I'm lost and stuck.
Pics coming...

Judging from those photos..your bearings and retainers have already been pressed onto your axles. I can't see if the seal is already pressed into the housing end. If you look in and can see a rubber ring, then it's already in place.

Looking down the end of the rear end housing tube. Where the axle slips in. There should be a race seal pressed into the end of your housing. It rides on the inner smooth retainer just inside your axle bearing.

I can't till tomorrow. My whole setup is in the autoshop at school, and it might not be open till tomorrow. Can you find a pic of that seal by itself?

He is saying it's on the axle not in the tube. When you pull the axles the bearing and seal are on the axle.

To replace them they have to be pressedoff and on at a machine shop.

I am not seeing the retainer in the picture of the axle. It should be between the bearing and the flange.

The seal is a metal band with a rubber ring that rides on the axle itself. It keeps your rear end grease from leaking out. It should be pressed into the end of the axle housing.

I didn't see a Bearing retainer on yours either. Do you have one?

I'm assuming he has a hydraulic press at his shop. We have a basic hand operated one at ours. I've done it beofore, not much to it . .
