I didn't read all the posts so this might have been stated. As soaring poined out there isn't a chrome strip or anything to separate the two colors. All you need to two is pick a third color, and do say a 1/4 inch or so pinstripe in between the two colors. With black and orange I would think that a grey/silver would look good to separate the two.

I say go for it, It would be unique and different. And that orange color is pretty cool.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I agree that a pinstripe is needed as a transition. That Cuda that I originally posted has a light blue strip to make the transition between the two colors and then the same blue is used in the airbrushing in the hockey stripe.

Thats actually the same idea im gonna go with shortly.I already have the whole car really dark blue with a metallic stripe and then pinstriping surrounding it.But im gonna use silver up top and the same blue on the bottom.

I know most here do not like rice burners, but the paint scheme on the RX7 in Tokyo Drift had a sweet look to it. The attached pictures do not show just how brilliant the orange really looked, as compared to the movie. Also note the pin stripe between the colors.

not gonna lie, i really like that green and black one... but i agree about the hood, as well as the trunk. actually the only part that i think looks cool is the black roof. but that front diffuser thing... yuck!

I don't think the colors on the green and black one are bad either. I think it would have looked better if then would have moved the black line down about 1 1/2" on the side of the car. It would have given a better break between the colors. I was just at the body shop and he was suggesting a silver strive on the side of the car. Narrow at the front and gradually getting bigger as you go back. the rear would be 4-6" high. He is going to draw some sketches and have me take a look at them. When he is done I will post them and hopefully get more input from you guys. I loke the ideas, keep em coming.

The Tokyo drift car had an interesting paint. I like the way they took the traditional center of the hood stripe and flared it out. I just don't know how you would take that same idea to the trunk. I am running shelby tail lights and spoilered trunk. Overall the paint colors are very similiar to what I am looking for.
