Yes you can use a stock EFI on a 351. Firing orders must be the same 13726548. The mass air meter will compensate for the displacement. I have used a stock 302 EFI on a 351W and had no problems tuning it under 7000 RPM.

well i was hopeing that nelson would respond to my last post since he said that its possible and is the only one that has had success with doing it.

Darreld : what your talking about is going with new stuffandgoing custom.. right?? cuz if you are i would probably go with this EFI.... http://www.retrotekspeed.com/product.php?pk=52
but regardless i appreciate the help.... just taking a wild guess but going by ur name you did a EFI conver to ur 68? what size engine and how did u go about doing it?? thanks

Sorry man, I'm busy right now getting a car ready for an event next weekend. As for the parts, what engine are you looking at, truck? Yah, the only thing would be the upper and lower and a cam. If you use an explorer motor, then it already has everything there, change cam. As for the ECU, the best one to get is the A9P for both stick and auto. I can't remember the exact resone but it is better. You can find mustang computers on the net complete with harnesses and just add a 351W.
Even though I play with Ford EFI andF.A.S.T and soon BIG Stuff 3. I'm realy leaningtowards that retrotek setup. They haven't realy been answering some of my questions, so I'm wating for the release to see the data sheet ( all the outputs and inputs on the computer).

hey nelson dont worry about it i totally understand.. im busy on minealso... its all good.well i have the engine already.. the block code isofa 88 bronco/ f-150 i believe, however its a remanufactured block and when i bought it i did so as a short block package. well i finished putting the engine together and i ended up blowing a head gasket so i tore it all down again and now im in the processof rebuild it nowi already have the GT-40X heads the cam im looking at going with the ford racing(z-303) roller cambut when it came to the fuel i wanted to go with the EFI insted of my edlebrock 750.... sooo it was origonally a F-150 block but no-longer is...but going by what you said
As for the parts, what engine are you looking at, truck? Yah, the only thing would be the upper and lower and a cam.

well i think ill give the junk yard idea a shot first or see if i cant find a 89-93 h/o with a blown tranny or something like thatfor about 500 or so... if that does work then ill probably consider the retortek setup. i'd just like to have the complex look if possible
