Ok I found the blocks cast num. it reads D9AE-6013-ED-23.

Also across the top of the block is stamped 351 CCP283......Anyone know what the 283 is? And no it isnt a Cleveland...My engine is a magical Windsor from Cleveland.

Also poked around and found casting numbers on other stuff while i was at it.

One head was made 19?8 Nov. 28th
The other 19?8 Dec. 8th

Timing cover came from 1968....



Kinda looks like someone when to a yard and made Frankinstein. :/

Can anyone shed light on what the motor might have come from. Ive narrowed it to Mustangs and possibly police Vic's... Anything else.

6013 - complete engine block

ED tells you the number of times there has been an engineering change of some description. That basic engine had been around since 1968(?) so lots of minor mods.

23 and the rest...still working on that.

Could have come from any Ford that had a 351 option
What are you trying to find out exactly?
