Since it is a project car, the first thing I would pay attention to is the suspension and the brakes. Get those upgraded before you start worrying about the exhaust. But, since it is a 289, at least upgrade the single exhaust to a dual exhaust. I run an "X" pipe and I use Ravin mufflers. The Ravins give you a nice rumble at idle, and going through the gears, but can barely be heard at highway speeds. I like to listen to music at highway speeds, not the drone of the mufflers which is what the Flow Master's give you. But, I am an old man, so what do I know.

thx for the info about the suspension, breaks, and exhaust Soaring. ya exhaust will probably be after suspension, breaks, body work etc.
ya i'd really like to put duals on her. thx

As you can see by the sig pic, it is a 65. I also have a 289. Lol on the original AM radio. I also have that, and the static won't let me get much reception since I live in west Texas where the distance between stations causes this effect.
I put in a CD stereo, and I placed the thing in the glove box with all the wires running to the front door and back package tray speakers.

Probobly not. This car is pretty much a restoration. Almost everything has been restored to original factory condition. We have in shows occasionally. The only modern thing on it is an elctronic choke.

If his pockets are that deep, then go for it.
