Motor mounts do not move the motor's position with respect to the radiator. Your words 'restored' mean what - as in what did you do? New fan? New radiator? New shroud? Did you change the fan spacer? And what were the sources of your fan, radiator and shroud?

RE: 1968 mustang motor mounts for 302
Everything on the car is original, fan, fan spacer,radiator,4 speed toploader trans. engine, trans.mount(not sure how that would affect this its a given where thats located?)The parts that I have replaced that would have anything to do with this problem are the motor mounts(bought at local parts store?)and the shroud ,and Im pretty sure its the correct shroud. The fan is hitting the bottom of the shroud,so the engine needs to be raised up 1/4-1/2 inch.Everything was fine until the restore? Thanks for the help!

I don't think it's your mounts. Take a look at the fanclearance at thetop of shroud. If there's a lot of room, 'adjust' the shroud down, by force if necessary. Is the shroud Ford or aftermarket? I had a fit problem on a 66 when I added the Ford shroud to my new three row radiator. It took some 'adjusting' to clear. Also on a 67 with a 289 I worked on, the first aftermarket one didn't fit but the replacement did.

Well I tried that, didnt help How it mounts on the radiator, and where its cut out around the lower radiator hose wont allow it to go down.I sure dont want to have to replace the motor mounts!
