Default 1967 Radiator fan question

I have an original 1967 coupe with the 289 2 barrel.
The car has factory air and an automatic transmission.
The question is: the car has a 7 blade radiator fan and only the 6 blade fan is mentioned for this car.
The 7 blade fan is listed for 69 big blocks and they are much more costly then the 6 blade fan.
Was this 7 blade fan installed at the factory due to the A/C option or was this a dealer add?
It also has a fan clutch.
I bought the car from the original owner back in 1981 and he had never changed anything.

There should be a date code on the fan. That will tell you if it is period correct or not.
