Default Kickdown linkage

Does anyone have a pic of there set up for the kickdown linkage? I have a holley 4 barrell on a 302 that is already set up for the kick down, but I think I may be missing some connection from the carb to the linkage (as well as the throttle line). I went through the FAQ as well as the engine pics and I was unable to get a clear shot. Thanks I would appreciate it.

Google it, it comes up with alot of stuff. Also switch over to the image section. I'm not sure what part you are looking for, but that should help.

I started with yahoo images and i will try google images.

As for now I do not have anything set up. For the most part it is stock with a holley 600. I have the gas pedal linkage coming out of the firewall and the kick down coming from the transmission.

The kickdown linkage actually goes from youraccelerator linkage to the transmission. It does not go near the carburator. I have attached a picture of the linkage. Hope this helps.

That doesnt seem right. If that were the case I wouldnt need the Carb with the kick dowb linkage. I beleive itis supposed to be similar to the bottom photo I attached. It is a seperate rod that comes up and connects to the carb.

haha, that's an understatement. that thing is HUGE!

I saved it though, and shrunk it down.
I think you are both kind of right. fiegland posted one that is very similar to the bottom one you posted. Except the one he posted is the one I see all the time - I've never seen one that went from the carb down to the linkage. I have, however, talked with many other early ford owners and they have that style. So, maybe your linkage is off of one of those vehicles (can't remember which...probably a maverick or something...)

Its possible. there was an assumption that every thing was pretty stock when it entered my family (72)

And it might matter that this was an early production 65. I know they changed some stuff midway through production.

It seems from 66-68 they use a linkage cable and I see plenty of photos that show two cables going to the carb (Throttle and kick down).

Thanks Fiegland and mysaviourreigns I will try to compare both to what I have and set it up.
