302 vs 351w vs EFI ?

RE: 302 vs 351w vs EFI ?
What you could do is get a late model 5.0 roller block, and do a nice hydraulic roller cam, aluminum heads and a nice carb/intake combo. Have a shortblock done with basic but decent parts, stock crank, maybe some upgraded rods(rod bolts at LEAST) and pistons. Then when you have the money do an EFI swap later down the road after it's been running for a while. If you really want power, like 500hp, later on you can do a supercharger, but that requires better internals. I plan on swapping to Edelbrock's EFI setup later on, then putting a Procharger centrifugal with an intercooler on it. It'll make 500+hp reliably and get good milage, and be very streetable.
Then eventually build another 302 on a Dart block and REALLY build it up and put more boost to it. Nothing like a daily drivable 650hp 302.....but that's eons away, and VERY expensive

Well, I dont want to go Carb And then EFI It would seem like waste of money .
But EFI might be too much for my first muscle car.
What will it take to bring a 302 to about 350 Hp 375 tq?
Do i have to stroke ? Is it worth it ?

Don't waste your money on a stroker kit. A 302 will make the power with a good top end and cam selection. To keep it easy on you I would just buy the Edelbrock RPM power package. RPM heads, manifold and cam. There you're done.
Me personally, I would build a 351. Takes very little to make good hp and is much more reliable than a 347.
I just hope you have plans for the rest of the parts needed to handle that power.
