Hello ive officially saved enough to buy new mufflers and headers. I want to get an opinion first tho. Right now i have 2 1/4IMCO exhaust and IMCOturbo mufflers which are a nice deep sound but kinda quite for me. I was thinking of ordering hedmann headers. Any sound diffrence in the diffrent headers brand/or type? Also what muffler would soundpretty loud at idle but have a nice deep pitch? I was looking at glasspacks but they sound almost like an open header. By the way i have a 70 coupe which holds a 351 cleavland. no mods that i know of.

My preference is Magnaflow...More mellow is Dynomax...more raspy is Flowmaster. All are qualitity mfgrs, power loss on any is negligible.

I runningheaders connected to2.5 inch X pipe with Flo-Pro all the way out a GT rear valence and really like it.

is the exhaust sound getter cut and duped in front of the rear wheel with headers a turbos? any more oppions? what about cutouts?

its all based on your preference. if you dump the pipes before the rear axle it will be louder, so thats your call. i have used flowmasters on my II and on my 06GT and i love the sound of them on both, but mufflers are one of those things that is strictly a matter of opinion because as stated above HP losses will be negligibile

yeah well i was thinking about hooking up my headers and then dumping them in front but then i might be sniffin fumes all day and then i was thinking of hooking a cord manual cutout if i put a h pipe in for the shows.

ohh gawd...I have 3 inch pipes on my 410c with Flow master 40s....I am forced to run dumps for a while and it is much too loud. With the old setup and the pipes out the back it was very enjoyable however.
