Default OFF TOPIC: My friend just totalled his Lotus

Damn, my friend just wrecked his Lotus Elise somewhere north of Sacramento. And I had to tell someone! Should have been driving a MUSTANG!!!
But that really sucks.
Supposedly he is okay at least.

The guy is getting married in 2 weeks. Sure this won't stress him out at all! ugh.

Did he get trapped in a situation, or was it "Driver error"? Hope there were no serous injuries.

Now he can take that Elise money & put it into a Stang.

This guy was planning on making the Elise (2006!) into his racer. I am not yet clear if he was on a track or not. I want to say that he was but sometimes he drives on the surface streets like he is on a track...

I wonder what he will get next.

In the 4 years I have known him he has had
1) 2002 Boxter S with about $20k in upgrades
2) 2005 M3 with about $20k in upgrades(!!!)
3) 2006 Lotus Elise (all gone)
4) Not one Mustang (wtf?)

I think he is okay. His girlfriend is on her way to pick him up as he is stranded this morning. Thanks for letting me post off topic here. Its just that I am a Classic Mustang guy so I have to talk to Classic Mustang peeps about these things!

Well at least he won't need to trade the Lotus in for a mini van after the wedding......

Glad to hear he's ok, but yea you should definitely get him into a mustang, and luckily he had the elise and not the exige, I would be sad if he had totaled an exige.
