I am thinking of changing the appearance of my web page and was wondering which way you thought was better.

Original

or

Revised

As always any other comments are welcome.

I think the revised one is easier to quickly scan over and find what you are looking for.

Day...I took the opportuntiy to look at your site. really cool stuff! I like the revised format better..One question regarding the roller perches...would it not be better to use needle bearings instead of roller bearings? It seems they would have less overall diameter, and would actually be more for the designed application, as needle bearings are designed for high loads, where roller bearings are designed for high speed...just a thought...I am thinking of making a set for my 65, and was just curious if you have already gone this route...

Old folks find dark letters on light background much easier to read. Second looks good to me.

The black background looks cooler, but the white one looks more professional imo.

Revised,,,,,

And of course I had to look at your roller perches, I like them.

Having a little background in agricurtural machinry and the way bearings are used, IMO there is no way that the roller bearings willwear out or fail anytime soon.I just can't see it being an issue.

And by the way, your website is great!

I'd say white, I like color backgrounds, but something that dark is hard on the eyes sometimes especially after reading a long tech article. Do you have any experience with website building?? If you want a hand I'd be happy to make it look a little better with a little PHP and CSS, and some imageready PSD template building...let me know, cool site

Here's a website I built a few weeks ago for my dad. It's a volenteer organization that didn't have much "content" or that needed alot of work, so it's kinda simple, but looks good and you'll notice no matter what size webpage you use, the site scales both the header and the page body.

Those are all good thoughts. Opentracker and I have discussed this very topic and looked at what is available in bearings. The biggest problem is shaft size. The shafts are 7/8" and there are not many bearing with that I.D. Also finding a sealed bearing that does not need greasing is even harder in the roller types. The long and the short of it is that even the very cheapest R14 bearings have a static load capacity of 700 (I use the ones with 1100# raightings) and there are 2 per side, 4 per front end, so there is a load capacity of 2800# for half of a car that weighs less than 3000. Thanks for the input, I always appreciate constructive criticism.
