I noticed that the original valve that I had in my car has a TOTAL of 4 outlets, and the one that the seller sells has a TOTAL of 5 outlets. Do I need to buy a new one or do you guys use your original ones?

The 5 ports are:

1 - in from front M/C bowl
1 - out to rear brakes
1 - in from rear M/C bowl
1 - out to front right brake
1 - out to front left brake

If you're using a dual M/C you need this one.

I think you can pull these off of Mustang IIs, too. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I saw one on a 70s out in a junkyard, and it looked brand new. I would definitely suggest getting a dual MC, if you don't have that.

Alex,
You do not need to install a combo valve. You have the CHOICE ofusing acombo proportioning valve or an adjustable proportioning valve. The 4 port "valve" that you mention is not a valve, it is the brake fluid distribution block that is standard on all 65-66 drum/drum Mustangs. Your kit and 95% of kits sold included an adjustable proportioning valve. As I suggested before, you should read and follow the install guide provided with your kit at
http://www.discbrakeswap.com/The_Gra...9.3006.v01.pdfFollow the guide and you should have no problems. If you have a problem understandingthe instructions, let me know.Dennis

A general rule for brake swaps is, use parts for the donor car. Ask for a Granada proportioning valve at the parts store, this also goes for bearings, rotors, calipers, pads, tie rod ends and hoses if you don't already have those... The link posted by degins is a good write-up, there's also several in the FAQ.
