Default Original 67 Mustang Headrests?????

I have a set of original seats from allegedly a 67 mustang with the rotunda headrests. In the Classic Mustang Restoration Book it claims that these headrests came in 66 and 67 Mustangs as an option. When I search the Internet...it says the headrests were an option in 65 and 66 Mustangs. Is there a chance these seats and headrests could be original to 67. I attached a photo of a reproduction kit that looks identical. Thanks.

He have factory headrests in our 69, but I believe they are quite common for that year.

Those would look so retro on a 67! I've never seen them ona car either. I have noted that the 69 seats look just like the 68's with headrests. I've seen the one's MustangsUnlimited has in their catalog, but they are pretty proud of them (pricey).

Guys here is the write up for the reproduction headrests Iwas talking about. The description says theywere a dealer option in 1965. However, the Mustang RestorationGuide says they were an option in 1966-1967. I have never seen them before myself but apparently they were and option at some point. The website is http://www.mustangproject.com/Catalo...4-570f64552653. Thanks.

" Black Mustang Concours Headrest - PAIR. Exactly like the original Ford Rotunda dealer accessory made in 1965! Only available from Mustang Project. In 1965 Ford introduced yet another dealer accessory for its super popular Mustang. These headrest are exact."

They were an aftermarket dealer option. Introduced in 65, they could be put ona 67.

These headrests are an option on '67's. I found a pair of '69 headrests and added them to my '67. I have the attaching brackets from the optional onesif anyone is interested.

I was reading through the original owners manual for my 68 and headrests were listed as one of the options you could have installed by the ford dealership... along with television... no joke, in the original 68 owners manual "television" is listed as an option...
