Mis tuned. It can be tuned to work with your engine. Most modern mechanics don't know squat about working with carbs. Buy a book and read up on how to tune the carb, it's a very good investment. Holley carbs will get better mileage and deliver more power than an Edelbrock, just due to the tuning options Holley offers.

[align=left]I've got a 570 street avenger I'll trade you. It will be too small for my 347.

I decided to replace my holley 670 street avenger with an edelbrock 600. I think the 670 was too big for my motor, The carb is less than a year old, but Im not sure if anything is wrong with it, my car didnt run well with it, but when i took it to a mechanic, he said the carb was fine, so i assume that it was just too big for my car. I was just wondering how much you think i should sell it for? Im not sure where to start? or if anyone is interested? i just didnt want to put it up for sale with a rediculous price. thank you for the advice as always.

Like to know where ya'll live, so I can come by and pick up the crappy holley carbs. I'll leave my eldebrock, still in the box, seems to work as good there as on by engine.

That's right, Holleys suck. My 570cfm Holley sucks so bad in fact, that it's only making 370+hp from a 302 at less than 6k rpm. yup, sure does suck. I guess I should throw it out.

And if Holleys suck, why did nearly every american manufacturer use Holleys as stock carburetors, or have their carburetors made by Holley?

They suck, period. They leak fuel and are a fire hazard. Tell us that you do not carry an extinguisher in your car.
I'm aware of no auto manufacturers that use Holley carbs. Could you please name one make, model?

What's this talk about Soaring being gone. No big loss if you ask me.

Ok 2 things:
1st: My Holley caught on fire. granted it was my fault, I didn't have the transfer tube seated properly, but I still use a Holley...
2nd: What happened to Soaring???? I guess I missed it...

No kidding? And car companies still use carbs? This is the classics forum, of which probably 98% are carbed and 90% run holleys. What do new cars have to do with holley carbs?
