Default phenolic spacer

After about 15 minutes of driving my car stalls and I've deemed this problem to be vapor lock. My first order of business is to get a phenolic spacer, because the only thing separating my carb from the intake is a gasket. So my question is shouldI get the 4 hole or open spacer? Whats the difference? And is a 1" good enough?

I would go with an open spacer, the 4 hole just looks like a bunch of restriction to me. Mine is like an inch or and inch and a half...

the open spacer is better for building top end power. The 4 hole spacer will help build low end torque...Depends on what you are looking for.
