scored a rear sway bar
I scored a rear swaybar from a swapmeet and was told it was that from a '66 mustang, I'm really not sure how it's supposed to mount because it didn't come with the brackets, does anyone here have rear sway on there '66 and can post
pix of how it is mounted? it will be going on a 9" rear if that makes a difference?
Thanks

RE: scored a rear sway bar
Is it shaped like a short legged U(called straight) mounted under the rear axle, or a short legged U with a hump in the middle( mounted over the rear axle)??
One way or another, you'll need brackets & end links.
The rear swa-bar will enable the car to corner harder, with the drawback of, When the rear gets to the ragged edge of holding, it will break loose with little/no warning. So if your in a driving situation "over your head", the car will be violently loose in the rear.

Like said, you'll need the brackets and endlinks for the bar, but I dont think that should be too expensive. What size is it? What size do you have on the front? I've always heard you shouldn't have a bigger one on the front than the back or it'll mess with the handling..

Thanks for the advice, they appears to be the same diameter, I'll be cleaning them up and repainting them before installing them, I'll be sure to get a measurement of them ..
