RE: 15x7 rally wheels tire size??????
Yeap.
My Torque Thrusts are 15x7's...215/60/15 on the front...225/60/15 on the back.
Mind you the car sits a bit high right now because it has a brand new suspension and leafs.

215 60 15 rub for many/most people on a 3.75 bs wheel
225 60 16 seem to work ok for some people on a 4.25 bs wheel
a 225 60 15 on a 3.75 bs wheel won't work for you.

dodgestang, if it wont work, then how come it works fine on galactusz? a 215 is barely smaller than a 225. the guys at the tire shop said itd work...i mean, his car is just a bone stocker for putting around town. hes not gonna be cornering or taking turns at speeds. weve heard from many people that a 225/60/15 works great

Alignment specs and suspension play alot in fitment not to mention 40+ years of age on other parts of the car.
My 65 coupe runs 215 60 15 with stock rate springs and ride height, shelby drop, and it rubs in the front on turns sometimes.
Galactusz also runs a 215 60 15 on the front and reports he hasn't had a rubbing problem, which is great.

TTd is a wheel with 3.75 and my comments referred to front where the rubbing is usually the issue with that size tire and rim.
Also I know it sounds silly (and I don't want to be known as a asshat) however how about a reconfirmation from Hector because when he first got his raised white letter tires from tire rack they were 205 and 225s and I don't recall seeing where he specifically said he changed the size in the front

I have the same Torque Thrust D wheels as you, my tire sizes are a tad different though, mine are 205/60/15 front, and 225/60/15 back, no tire rubbing either, my tires are Goodyear T/A's with white lettering.

Let me congratulate you on some great memory and detective work, lol.
You are absolutely right!!!
True66...let me apologize for almost blowing it for you, I just forgot the exact size of my tires because I bought them a few months ago, had them in storage (after testing them with a new set of TT D wheels), and finally put them on again on the pony a couple of weeks ago (when I finally finished my suspension).
But Dodgestand himself is the one who had originally recommended the tire sizes for me because he's the man who knows his stuff.
Yes, the FRONT tires are indeed 205/60/15s, that's why I have NO tire rubbing whatsoever. Don't despair that they are a bit thinner, as you can see in my pictures, they look pretty bad ***.
The BACK tires are the size I previously reported, 225/60/15s.
As a matter of fact, here's my Tire Track invoice:

RE: 15x7 rally wheels tire size??????
Back when I had 15x7s w/4.25" backspacing, I had 215/60-15s and the never rubbed. That was with Granada discs and 620 coils. No fender rolling required.

RE: 15x7 rally wheels tire size??????
on my stang, i currently have 14x7 magnum's with a 215/70 tire. ( http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/423483121.html ) no rubbing. my dad wants a 15x7 wheel, so IMO, he should get 215/60/15's. that should be fine for him cause the 215/60/15 is like the same hieght as a 215/70/14. and if i have no rubbing, then he would have no rubbing. you dig? alrighty well i think ive got it figured out now. just one question, plain and simple, yes or no, would he rubin the front if he gets a 225/60/15? thats all we really need to know. thank you.
