Default RE: how to remove the timing chain and gear

1 - Remove all front engine components and remove the waterpump and timing cover.
2 - Turn the motor until the timing marks on the upper and lower gears are aligned.
3 - Remove the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt and washer
4 - Slide both sprockets and chain forward and remove as a unit

Removing the sprockets may require a little wiggling. Mine didn't come off too easy when I took my engine apart, but rest assured, they do come off
