Default Engine change

I have a 1968 Mustang Coupe with a 289. I want to change to a bigger engine. I was considering the 428 which is in the Cobra Jet. Would this be a good option or should I consider something else. I will be using this car on the street as a second car.

Thanks,
Jake

For the amount of money you'd spend on a 428cj.. if you could find one... you'd be better off with a stroked 351. More parts available and a wider selection. But everything up to a 460 will fit.

408w has excellent bang for the buck, as well as street drivability.
