Default '66 Convertible front suspension question

Recently while driving, I have noticed a "rattle" on the drivers side front of the vehicle. I finally discovered the left front shock was loose and I realized there are bushings missing on the mounting studs. I also found that the shock mounting tower (where it attaches to the fender) on the same side is loose and the bolts are just spinning (meaning they cannot be tightened up).

I will be replacing the shocks and mounting hardware butI am wondering since I am in there, should I replace the springs and spring seats? The rubber spring seat bushings have some visible cracking. Are there other related partsI should be checking while I'm in there? (as far as the shocks and springs are concerned). The car is in good overall condition.

As far as the shock tower, do I need to drop the spring to get to the bolts? Are the bolts somehow secured to the quarter panel?

Thanks,
Gary
