i found a cheap borg warner t-10 transmition and but i am not sure how to tell the difference between the ford, GM and other model t-10's does anyone know how o tell the difference, can they all be used with a ford 289, i am going to look at the trany tomorrow and NEED this info

I don't really know,,, I think that the input shaft and front bearing retainer can be changed to make the tranny fit different brands and applications, but I am just supposing, cause I don't really know for sure.

But as far as your question goes,, I really don't know how to tell the difference...
