Default Torque Thrust Wheels

Whats the biggest torque thrust you can get on the back of a 1970 coupe clearence wise without rubbing. I have drum brakes. I was looking at a set of 17x8s that came off a 69 fastback for 1000 is that a fair deal

I have never owned a set or Perellies so I can't give you any advice. Have you priced the combo at a local tire store? Then figure knocking some dough off due to them being used. Anything polished is hard to keep clean. But, if you like them then go for it.
