Default 289 hipo manifold ?

Has anyone used the cast iron headers on a 67 with manual transmission, and were there any problems with clearance for the clutch linkage?

My understanding that they came that way on the shelbys...should not be a problem.

I thought so too but I looked at them and it looks like the manifold will dump right into the z bar. Maybe Shelbys had different linkage. I really want to ditch my headers and these look like they will flow pretty good. Oh well, with a mig and some steel I'll make something fit.
