4v header fit a 2v head?

RE: 4v header fit a 2v head?
They will phyiscally bolt up, but on a stock 2v head you might run into issues where you can't get them to seal right (or they blow through gaskets all the time).
On the bottom is the 2v gasket with the 4v gasket on top. The left side of the 4v port eats up all the 2v gasket thickness....meaning you couldn't install them with 2v gaskets and I do not know if the mounting pad is much wider than the 2v gasket on the 2v head meaning the 4v gasket might now have alot of material to seal against.

RE: 4v header fit a 2v head?
I know this is kind of off topic, but id really like to know this too...
Theres a 400 in my truck, so if i put 4v heads on it, will longtubes for the stock heads Tube Size 1.625 in.; Collector Size 3 in. be big enough for their ports?
I only ask because its the one thing from me putting 4vC heads on it with performance internals.

get a set of flanges, make sure they fit before you start building. Summit racing sells assorted pipe bend kits for building your own headers, Jegs also does, check your local muffler shop also to see what they would sell you some 1 5/8 tubing in j and u bends for. I use borla xr-1 collectors 4 into 1 but they are expensive, you can get just plain 4 into 1 correctors and flanges from the site above...here is a link for building headers its a car craft magazine article.
