yeah dude.

a) look for dark cars with fresh damage
b) spread the word that two things are gonna happen...... 1: your going to pay a reward to whoever gives the person up. 2: when (not if, but WHEN) you find out - you are going to beat them within an inch of their life if they dont fess up on their own and THEN make them pay for it.

someone will rat them out, or the guy will fess up to avoid getting his *** whooped

Ouch, sorry to see this. Didn't your Dad's mechanic buddy just wreck your car several months back? You can bet the perpatrator cleaned up their vehicle. As low as the damage is, it's either a trailer hitch or a low bumber. The black on your white paint is probably from a rubber strip on a bumper or the black paint on a hitch. Does your school have security cameras in the parking lot? Good luck in finding this scumbag. Let us know the outcome. Did you file a report of hit and run? At least you'll need that for the insurance.
