Squealing brakes....
I havefactory disks with newer rotors and pads.Only have like 5000 or so on them.Single res no power. When i start off theyre fine but once warm the squeal like crazy. Its annoying and embarrassing to have a nice car then start squealing.I checked the pads and they look new.Im bout just going to change them. What should i do for new pads?

RE: Squealing brakes....
What type of pads are they? General rule of thumb is that more friction=more noise. The higher temp, higher performance pads will make the car stop better(if you have the traction for it), but also make more noise. Mine can be pretty darn noisy at times, and they howl like ***** when I bury my foot in the brakes, but they're also a mid-high heat range pad, so they're designed to operate bestin the 400-1,200* F range, with peak braking torque at around 700-800* iirc. Higher metallic content pads are usually noisier but higher performance, you could try a ceramic, a lot of ceramic pads are formulated to stop well and be low dust/noise.

RE: Squealing brakes....
The brake lube I have always found is a temporary fix, it works but only for a little while. A couple quick things to look at to stop the squeal is you have disc brakes, with certain types of pads the brakes can glaze over and form a layer caused by high temp and usage that causes them to squeal. It happened once on my truck, I just got my truck up to a decent speed and buried my foot into the brake a couple times and that wore off the top layer and fixed it. Another free way to check because you have disc brakes is to look at them and take them apart and clean them and make sure all the caliper bolts and everything are tight. It can make a squealing nice by the really high speed rattling when you hit the brakes. I can't remember the stuff you put on the bolts but its supposed to help stop the rattling also. But if you decide to change your pads make sure you turn your rotors also. Squealing can be caused by grooves in the rotor created by the pads. Also it helps mesh up the new pads to a new rotor surface, helps with stopping ability.
I hope I made sense, I'm tired but can't sleep.
