The original console face plate had circles cast in the back for the lights that look like like punch-outs for electric boxes. You can drill them out and use a file to fine-tune them for the holes. There is also a notch in each of the holes that aligns the light bezels. We did that on my brother's car and it looks great. It took FOREVER to get the holes just right...
