Wow, I hope you have cubic dollars if you're going to restore it in Tailand, shipping and duties will kill you on parts you order from the states. Are there any other Mustangs over there, or are you the only one?

Oh, and WELCOME TO MUSTANGFORUMS!

Thats pretty cool that you could track down your dads car. It sucks on the tax but I'm pretty sure NPD will sell anything you could need for your car. You can download their catalog at www.npdlink.com. You can call them 24/7

That is a very nicely optioned car. The AC / AMFM radio combo was a small fortune alone back in the day.

How did you get the car back? Did it stay local to where you are?

Congratualtions on your buy.

The car was in Bangkok and i was just 60 kms away.. I considered very lucky to get the car back in the restorable condition...
I found it difficult to find parts for Convenience Control Panel....

Consoles are being repoped by Scott Drake. I have heard many more negattives than positives on it at this point and they are expensive. I would continue to watch Ebay for an original that can be cleaned and restored. The convenience control panel, unfortunately is not being reproduced. It was a rare option and very hard to come by.

You can try www.perogie.com for the console, but be prepared to open the old piggy bank. He isn't exactly cheap, but he does restore these things.
