Sorry Mustang., I couldn't help but chuckle at fast66's responseas he posted what probably many of us were thinking. By your own admission, you are a VERY, VERY, VERY indecisive person so I would advise writing all your goals on a piece of paper and then pick the best means to that end. Because it is a daily driver and you don't have a lot of money, I'd stick to the 302 as it will be the most fuel efficient :cough: and you already have a fresh bottom end.
For less than $2K you can drop in a nice cam, performance heads intake and carb and have plenty of power to get in trouble with. Short of racing, where every hp counts, anything over 300hp is going to move your early Mustang very quickly on the street.
Good luck with your decision!
Jeff

Alright, Go for it! Strip it, bore it out 60 thou, whack some 12:1 hypereutic pistons in there. Some polished H-beam rods. Some AFR 225 headsported to the max. Slap in the biggest flat tappet cam in the catalogue, open headers 6000rpm stall converter. 5:1 rear end,Run it on straight jet fuel. Paint it bright pink. Awesome! You willhave the meanest thing on the street!
Thats what you wanted to hear isnt it?
Again, read the advice given. If its not what you want to hear -stop asking.
