I came across an 8 inch rear end from a 68 cougar- would this setup work?

Goodlink, but it omits the 67-70 years. Your 68 should be 59.25" from axle face to axle face

Good info- so the rear end from a 68 cougar will not work?

I'm new to all of this and honestly a little confused- baddog671 your telling me my axles should measure 59.25" from face to face.
According to the link that James gave me, there are no match ups?

Sorry for all of the questions- I'm just trying to get my head around all of this info.
