64.5 Mustang Restoration Question
I'm rebuilding a 64.5 Mustang and was taking the chrome off the windshield and rear window. It was my understanding that there should be clips holding the molding in place. There wasn't any clips no any holes for clips. The chrome had a flat piece of metal on the back that slid in between the rubber molding and body of the car into the sealant to hold it in place. Does this sound correct?
Also, the car has a 1/4 Landau top over the roof starting from the top of the rear side windows down over the back window. Was this an option for that year?
Any help would really be appreciated, thanks.

RE: 64.5 Mustang Restoration Question
AFAIK,they had clips for the moulding, and there was no "landau" top option in 64.5. I'm betting the guy who put the "landau" top on didn't want to mess with the clips.
Have you removed the widshield, and rear window? There should either be holes, or pins that the clips slid over, and locked in place.
I have a very early 65 fastback, with some 64.5 carryovers (carpet stopped at the bottom of sill, vinyl up to the kick plate, slide in spare tire holddown, etc).
