Default Documentation on my 65 coupe

This a long winded question about documentation. I have ownedthree Mustangs - 69 Mach I, 86 Coupe, and an 05 Coupe ( which I still have) and just bought a 1965 Coupe. This was a one owner car and after I bought it the owner gave me a large box of documentation which really floored me. He kept everything...his down payment receipt, window sticker, loan papers, receipts for every nut and bolt and every repair, handwritten trip records, 1965 road maps...and even every license plate ever put on the car, repacked in the original cardboard mailer they were originally received in. The car has 110,000 on it and the 289 runs like a dream.Itis 100 percent original except for ordinary maintenance replacement items. The interior has no visible wear except for a slight weathering of the dash pad. Being new to classics I was wondering if this extreme documentation I have of the car's historyadds anything to the value?

Makes it more valuable to the owner ... but not money wise if thats what you mean. I wish i knew a complete background of my car, id be REALLY thankful.

Enjoy your beautiful mustang!

Be thankful for those records, and enjoy reading about it's past - it may not be of any monetary value, but certainly of historical value.

Yes, having the complete history of car will/does add value mostly for other Mustang fanatics/collectors.

If you decide to sell it and some high school kid wants it just so he can drop in a "ground-shaking" 302 he obviously won't really care about the cars history.

Nice car you have there! It may add value depending on the buyer, if the buyer is looking for a concours car then it's definetly going to help, other than that it doesn't really do anything to the value.

I believe all that documentation will add slightly to the monetary value and significantly to the marketability of your car. Few Mustangs have such complete paperwork, and as said the concourse/ originality people would freak out over such a find. When you go to sell it stress the original paperwork aspect.

Nice car by the way.
