Rare Option???

Rare Option???
I have been told by a few people that this may be a rare option on my mustang. What I have is a 1968 302 coupe with the convience group package in the middle of the dash. Bascially, this is 4 small lights that are in place of a vent or center dash plate. Is this actually a rare option? In most car shows that I have been too, I have not seen any with this package. Thanks.

RE: Rare Option???
It's rarer, yes, but not as valuable as other things like the deluxe interior or GT trim. Not exactly a popular option among modern owners; by the time the idiot light turns on, it's usually already too late=/

RE: Rare Option???
I will post a pic tomorrow. Yes, basically, they are 4 small round lights, right above the radio benzel, that tell you door, brake, fuel, and I cannot remember the other one. I am in the process of restoring this car.

RE: Rare Option???
The console mounted version is actually probably more common.
The dash mounted version could be factory but was more likely a dealer installed option.
Anything "extra" is a plus in an classic mustang.
The "extra" my car has is the remote adjustable drivers mirror. Whee....

RE: Rare Option???
All along I thought my 67 was the only one with that option. Glad to hear someone else has it. There are 4 lights in the center dash that are just that, idiot lights. Lets see, low fuel, door ajar, seat belts, and low brake fluid. I am rewiring my car with a Ron Francis kit. Not sure I will hook these back up being I am also going with new gauges. I may kick myself for doing this but I am going to keep the original gauges intact and buy and new bezel with autometer ultra-lites. Will see how that goes.
