Default RE: Rear End Gears

Remove wheels and driveshaft then you have to remove the axles. If you don’t have a (axle) puller, you can do this by pulling a drum off and reversing it, putting couple of lug nuts on and giving a good yank. After both axles are about 10” out of the axle tube, remove the 3rd member nuts that and pry it off a little, let the old fluid drain and then pull it out, its gonna be heavy if your on your back. I don’t recommenrd setting up gears if you never have. So take it to a shop or buy a rebuilt 3rd member, that will be the easiest and fastest way. Also check your axle seals and bearings while your there.Should take about 35-40 mintes to r&r the rear end
