Jumped Timing Bend Pushrod?
Had a previous post about some loud ticking noise after I changed my timing chain. Pulled off valve cover on noisey side and found #8 intake had a bent pushrod.
I'm assuming it happened when I jumped timing. I did not think that the piston would hit the valve when timing chain jumped. In any case I removed rocker and pushrod on exhaust also and ran air into #8 - no air thru carb (or exhaust). Was able to push down on sprng so valve doesn't seem stuck.
Anything else I should check. Will be installing new pushrod when it comes in tomorrow.

RE: Jumped Timing Bend Pushrod?
I'd check the rocker to make sure it's not bent or cracked. I've seen that before, believe it or not. Other than that, I think you should be good to go.
Good thing your pushrod bent and not a valve.
